GUDEG are identical with jogja, is the most popular food at jogja, made from boiled young jackfruit in coconut oil, the cocking process usually takes more than four hours. Served with chicken curry, boiled egg, krecek. My favorite restaurant for gudeg was at Gudeg Perempatan, is delicious, yummy. And the other is gudeg Yu Djum at Wijilan, this is the best dried gudeg at jogja although the kasir was not friendly. But is the food is execellent.

• Soto Kadipiro

Wohh you have to try this out, is likely like soup served with rice and chicken (ayam kampung), perkedel (mash potato fried). Soto Kadipiro is perfect for breakfast and to start your days with a good food and nice hot tea. The best place for having Soto Kadipiro was at Warung Kadipiro Soto and Kadipiro Baru Restaurant.  Other Soto that i prefered is Soto Bu Chip at Patang puluhan street, this soto is served with beef not chicken but is also so tasty. Have to try this! Recomended.
Although Warung Bu Chip is small but the customer is always coming.

• Bakmi Jawa

Bakmi Jawa is also the best food at jogja, difinetely have to try it, am recommended to Bakmi Kang Budi at Prapatan Benteng Wetan. Or Bakmi Pak Pele at Alun-alun utara.

• Cak Koting

At this warung you will find grilled and fried chicken or duck.
